Robert Zolg, MPT, ATC

Robert graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from USC in 1990, after earning a Bachelo’rs Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of the Pacific. He was a co-captain of the football team and a perennial scholar-athlete, and became involved with physical therapy after a season-ending ACL injury.
Robert worked as the team physical therapist for the Los Angeles Kings for 11 years, and has been with California Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy for 13 years, and has been the Director of Physical Therapy at the Downey clinic since 2012. He brings to the clinic his experience and expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine, which allows him to treat each patient as an individual, while focusing on their return to a healthy lifestyle.

Robert LeSueur, DPT

Robert is originally from Ranch Santa Margarita and graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University. He obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2012. Robert has been working with the patients in the Downey office for over 5 years. Robert enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, skiing, and going to the beach with his wife and two children.

Andrea Spaulding, PT, DPT

Andrea grew up in Puerto Rico and Connecticut and always enjoyed traveling, prompting her to begin her undergraduate studies in Up With People’s WorldSmart Leadership program (global education program with community service projects) before attending California State University, Long Beach where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Exercise Science and Minor in Communication Studies. She continued her education at The University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner) where she graduated with outstanding distinction receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015. Andrea returned to California with her family (now including her daughter) to enjoy the sunshine and further pursue a career in outpatient orthopedics. She enjoys remaining active on the weekends at the beach and hiking with her family as well as continuing her growth as a clinician in the field of physical therapy. Andrea’s favorite aspect of working as a physical therapist is seeing the progress made by patients.

Amy Bu, OTR/L

Amy is from Los Angeles, CA and received her BA from University of California Irvine. She then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2016. Since then she has worked exclusively in the hand therapy setting and has taken continuing education courses focusing on the treatment of upper extremity conditions, including the completion of her certification for the ASTYM soft tissue mobilization program. Amy enjoys working with all populations and is a strong advocate for evidence-based research approaches to occupational therapy. She enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, perusing new coffee shops, traveling with her husband, and spending time with their dog named Oliver.

Taylor Register, PTA, CSCS

Taylor graduated from Cerritos College with his A.S. In Physical Therapist Assistant. He obtained his B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from California Baptist University. After graduating with his undergraduate Taylor obtained his certifications as a personal trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Since then Taylor has spent the last 9 years working as a personal trainer and sports performance coach for junior high, high school, and college athletes. In his free time, Taylor enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and training for triathlons.

Irina Silchuk, OTR/L, HTC

Irina received her MS in occupational therapy from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2011, after receiving her BS in Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science from CSUS in 2007. She has worked at California Hand Therapy since 2013 specializing in treating cumulative trauma and repetitive strain injuries. Irina’s treatment philosophy focuses on correcting postural imbalances, strengthening proximal muscles, improving nerve gliding and joint flexibility to facilitate patients’ recovery. She places a high emphasis on patient education and independent home exercise program. Irina is certified in ASTYM, an instrumental soft tissue mobilization technique designed to treat common tendinitis/tendinosis conditions. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) and values the current research and advancements in the field of hand therapy it offers. In her free time, Irina enjoys hiking, swimming, and practicing yoga.
