Irina Silchuk, OTR/L, HTC
Irina received her MS in occupational therapy from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2011, after receiving her BS in Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science from CSUS in 2007. She has worked at California Hand Therapy since 2013 specializing in treating cumulative trauma and repetitive strain injuries. Irina’s treatment philosophy focuses on correcting postural imbalances, strengthening proximal muscles, improving nerve gliding and joint flexibility to facilitate patients’ recovery. She places a high emphasis on patient education and independent home exercise program. Irina is certified in ASTYM, an instrumental soft tissue mobilization technique designed to treat common tendinitis/tendinosis conditions. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) and values the current research and advancements in the field of hand therapy it offers. In her free time, Irina enjoys hiking, swimming, and practicing yoga.
