Bryan Stewart, PT, DPT, OCS, Clinic Director

Dr. Stewart has been in practice for over 10 years, and over the past 5 years in a clinic director role and managing partner at Cal Rehab Brea. He graduated in 2006 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and went on to become certified in manual therapy in 2009 from the Manual Therapy Institute and board certified in Orthopedics in 2012. He currently serves roles with both the CPTA, APTA and is a clinical instructor as well as consultant in various avenues pertaining to physical therapy. He currently enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son including seeing live music and taking in the occasional baseball game or round of golf.

Alan Vogel, PT

Hudson Wilvers, PT, MPT, OCS, ASTYM Cert.

Hudson was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, CA. He came down to Southern California on a Track and Field Scholarship to California State University at Long Beach. Through multiple injuries during Track and Field, he was introduced to Physical Therapy. He received his Master’s degree in physical therapy from California State University Long Beach in 2011. Hudson then joined the Cal Rehab team in January of 2012. During his time here, he has taken numerous continuing education courses. He is a board certified orthopedic specialist (OCS) and is also ASTYM certified. He enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions, however has taken a particular interest in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and treating the “overhead athlete.” In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and two kids, golfing, weight lifting, and playing in a men’s softball league.

Miranda Rosen, PT, DPT, PWR Cert.

Miranda received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from California State University at Long Beach in 2016. Raised in Huntington Beach, Miranda comes from a sports background lettering in track and field, while also playing volleyball and running in cross country. Her competitive spirit, interest in orthopedic injuries, and love of working with people of all ages led her to join the team at Cal Rehab. Miranda also has a passion for treating patients with different neurological conditions and specializes in areas such as Parkinson’s, stroke, balance, and movement disorders. She is PWR certified from the Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery Program. Miranda also works part time at St. Josephs Hospital, where she is treating acute patients after orthopedic surgeries. You can find Miranda any day of the week running the cliffs of Huntington Beach.

Patrick Willson, OT

Patrick Willson graduated with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2014. Patrick found his passion for Hand Therapy at a fieldwork opportunity with California Hand Therapy for school, and began working for the company upon graduation. He has continued to specialize in the field and has earned an advanced certification in Hand Therapy. Before attending OT school, Patrick played music professionally. He continues to play drums in his free time and is currently working on a holiday album.

Alessia DiGennaro Kerner, OT, CHT

Alessia was raised on the east coast where she attended Quinnipiac University and graduated with a degree in occupational therapy. Alessia has been practicing hand therapy since 2001 and became a CHT in 2005. Alessia is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapist’s Education Division, writing resources for patient education and teaching courses for therapists. During her free time, Alessia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and traveling.

Ferin Zampese, PT

Ferin is a Dutch-trained physical therapist who specializes in lower extremity injuries. She heads up our foot and ankle team here at CalRehab and enjoys sport-specific rehabilitation especially soccer and running injuries because she is able to glean from her experience with playing soccer and participating in triathlons since 1994.

Brett Johnson, PTA, ATC, CSCS, ASTYM Cert.

Brett first attained his BA in exercise science from Southern California College, followed by his Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from Cerritos College. He joined the Cal Rehab team in 1992. In addition to his PTA license, he is also certified in FMS, ASTYM, CSCS, as well as athletic training. Brett was a baseball player through high school and college, and continues to be active in the sport in the community. He can often be found in the clinic on weekends helping our local high school athletes recover from and prevent injuries, including Marina, Ocean View, Fountain Valley, and Huntington Beach. Brett specializes in treating the “overhead athletes.”

Scott Mccrimmon, PTA, ASTYM Cert.

Scott was born and raised in Newport Beach, CA. Scott attended Chapman University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology in 1988. He originally joined the Cal Rehab Team in 1990 as a PT Aide, until he received his Physical Therapy Assistant License in 1996. Scott grew up a passionate soccer player, which in turn created quite a few orthopedic injuries requiring physical therapy and sometimes surgical intervention. This introduced him to outpatient orthopedics and his career. His certifications include ASTYM, FMS, and TRX. He is also a Clinical Instructor and an Advisory Board member of the Stanbridge College PTA program. He volunteers with the career center at Edison High School, which allows students to gain hands on experience in a Physical Therapy Environment. Scott’s outside interests include soccer, skiing, and boating. Scott has a wife and two kids, and has been a part of the Cal Rehab team for 20 years.

Dana Crowe, PTA

Dana graduated with her Bachelors from Long Beach State in 1991. She went on to get her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Cerritos College, graduating with honors in 1993. She has enjoyed working in outpatient orthopedics for the last 24 years, and joined the family at Cal Rehab in 2016. She loves working with all types of patients from young athletes to older adults. She has taken continuing education classes in Pilates based spine rehab, current concepts in shoulder and knee rehab, and kinesio-taping. Dana also has experience working in Aquatic Rehab, as well as leading a prenatal exercise class. She has had vast success relieving SI joint and sciatica symptoms in pregnant patients. Outside of the clinic, Dana enjoys taking yoga and Pilates classes, as well as spending time outdoors with her husband and children.
