Alyson Vasconcellos, PT, DPT, Clinic Director

Alyson is an Orange County native, having grown up in Cypress, CA. She became interested in physical therapy while participating as a member of her high school’s varsity cross-country, soccer and track teams where she witnessed and endured a variety of injuries. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences/Exercise Physiology and a minor in Psychology at Chapman University she went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. While at USC she gained experience with clinical internships in women’s health physical therapy, outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. Alyson enjoys working with athletes of all ages and skill levels to get them back to their prior activities. She utilizes a combination of manual therapy and functional movement to help patients reach their goals. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and 2 young children, exercising, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.

Bryce Kubo, PT, DPT

Bryce is born and raised in Fountain Valley and a proud graduate of Fountain Valley High School. While in high school, he was a varsity cross-country, basketball, and track athlete, in which he got his introduction into physical therapy and rehabilitation. He then went to UC Irvine to graduate with a degree in Biomedical Engineering (Pre-Med). At UC Irvine, Bryce volunteered as a student athletic trainer and helped with Division I athletes, mainly the baseball team. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. While at RMU, Bryce was able to gain experience with internships in neurology, outpatient orthopedics, and sports medicine. Following graduation, he studied with the Gray Institute and became a Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS), which focuses on function in all three planes of motion. Bryce enjoys working with all ranges of patients with a focus on functional movements so they can get back to the hobbies that they love. In his free time, he enjoys camping and hiking, playing and watching sports, and traveling.

Kristen Hunter, PTA

Kristen was born and raised in Fountain Valley. She attended FVHS where she competed as a student athlete in soccer, cross country, and track.  Her cross-country team won CIF, placed 2nd at state, and went to Nike Team Nationals. She then attended California State University of Fullerton where she received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on clinical exercise science. During her time as a student, she also worked as an aide at a physical therapy clinic for many years gaining skillful experience. She then attended Concorde Career College receiving a degree for Physical Therapy Assistant. During her PTA schooling she graduated with honors and attained exceptional experience at her clinical rotations, two of which were orthopedic outpatient clinics. She enjoys traveling, hiking with her husband and 1 year old golden retriever, and going to the family river house.
